-Choose which shoulder you wish to wear the sling on and position it.
-Place curved seam of pouch slightly in front of the hip you wish to carry child on.
-Put child in burp position and slip feet all the way through the sling aligning curved seam with child’s spine.
-Spread the pouch by pulling top edge (rail) of the pouch up child’s back and bottom padded rail under child’s knee.
-While holding rails, lower child into pouch, having child’s legs straddled your hip. This action will “pocket” child’s body. (To ensure child is secure check the child’s leg angle. Legs should be almost parallel to the ground with the back of their knees slightly higher than their booty).
– Child’s arms can be tucked in or out.
-To find and adjust the shoulder cap in the hip carry position: locate on the outside of your shoulder the edging closest to your skin. Pull this layer out to “cup” your shoulder. The shoulder cap will help distribute weight.
