::Orla Kiely Obsession::

February 19, 2009 By Katie

Browsing through my March Country Living Magazine in bed the other night I came upon the Editor’s Pick, Orla Kiely at Target!  My kitchen is orange and green, and I had to have them!

I was tempted to get out of bed and check online, but waited until morning.  Of course living in Seattle it was already sold out in the stores.  I madly drove to South Center, already having plans of my mom in Florida picking them up if they weren’t there.  There they were.   ONE left of each canister.

Have you seen Lord of the Rings?  I became Galum.   Uttered, “MY PRECIOUS!”

Our wedding “China” is Fiesta.  Partly, because I’m practical, of course because it’s collectible, and mostly because I am a Lover of Color.  Anything that lends some graphic accent to the Fiesta is welcome in my kitchen.

    I keep forgetting to look for this at Target! Sounds like you are almost all set. How fun!

    Not sure if they’re still there, but the West Seattle Target had the closet storage stuff last week. They didn’t have the kitchen stuff though.
    I am so proud of myself for not buying any of it so far. However I still covet it whenever I see it on people’s blogs, Flickr, etc. so we’ll see if I successfully live without it!

    lovely canister….
    If I follow my desire I would rearrange my kitchen and all the things inside it every month maybe, haha…

    It is going fast. I was on a mission to get the bins last night to rearrange our craft closet.

    Wow, those are beautiful! We so need a Target here. Oh well at least they’re building an Ikea a few blocks from my home.

    Found you through a Craftster post about slings nad then linked to your flicker to end up here. I am glad that I did. I love your choices of fabrics and color.

    My husband an dI also recently discovered that Orla Kiely was at Target through a tip of our friend at Cut out and Collect Handbags.

    Will be reading here often.
