I have a bug. Maybe it’s the news of the economy. I’m clearing out, minimizing. Wanting to take stock of what I have, and organize it.
I have told myself that I couldn’t start any new projects until the bits I’ve had around are finished. Some little things have been finished. We now have new napkins. I fell in love with the Lizzy House line and Moda’s Hello Betty line. I think they are perfect together.
The bright flower napkins are from my days in Mexico. Sure wish I collected fabric then, the shops were wonderful. I fortunately do have some oilcloth in great colors stashed.
Finished a Christmas present…I know right?!? I’ve had the gift certificates to put in the pouch since November. The tutorial link I like for the zippered bags is in this post.
I have still a pillow, the Betty Shopper Bag, March’s Cottage Quilting Bee Block to finish, and this quilt top to quilt and bind.
Then onto the new!
The best yet in taking stock has been the organizing of my fabric stash. My sweet, lovely, handsome, talented man built me shelves for my FQs. I was hoping to have this done for Sew Mama Sew’s February theme of Fabric Stash and Storage. Tomorrow I will have a whole closet dedicated to my stash. Hopefully I can get some decent photos!

Doesn’t it feel good to take stock? I’m impressed with your goals! I have gotten that feeling lately too – must be this economy. Can’t wait to see your newly organized shelves!
I really love those Lizzy Dish fabrics too, but haven’t broke down to buy them yet.
