I always have little piles of fabric laying about in my window. My house is little. I think its size is partially responsible for my pleasure in producing small projects. If I know I need a birthday gift in the near future, I’ll think of that person, and collect my pile.
It might sit for a bit. Sometimes it might even get put away and rebuilt, but they always inspire me. I always love it when I pass it by, and all of a sudden I just know what to do with it.
Here is evidence of the inspirational “light bulb moment” (pardon the awful photo):
I was working off the duvet cover I made as a baby shower gift, which is apparently still a loved item. It’s got to be soft as all get out, it’s all flannel.
Drawing inspiration from here for the pillow.
Here’s some more things that are inspiring me lately.
The color wheel is used daily.
The Improv piecing and patchwork that is popping up in catalogs like crazy.
and books of course…
and other blogs of course. Fabric Shopper posted about patchwork today as well. Check it out.
