::Sunday Stash/ Sunday Swap::

August 23, 2009 By Katie

I’ve been rather absent from here with the trail of family and friends visiting.  Our annual visit from the Northern Irish side of the family was too short, and all 7 of us coexisted in our tiny house wonderfully.

I’m not sure the name of this fabric.  I pick up FQs of this type when I go to fabric shops in travels that aren’t quite my style.

I am hoping to make this quilt:

So, as my Sunday Swap I am offering 28/6-inch squares of this feedsack 30’s feeling fabric.

I am looking for much of the same in different colors to finish the quilt.  Perhaps some larger prints.  It requires 48/6-inch prints total.  Perhaps someone is interested in making it too.  I could add a copy of the directions.

    I don’t have anything to swap with, but I wanted to say I love your fabric. They will go great with the pattern you’ve selected.

    So funny! I have that quilt pattern in my “to make someday” file, except i’m going to use vintage feedsacks I have saved up.

    That pattern is the first (and for now, only) quilt pattern I have ever followed! I don’t think I’ve ever photographed it, though, because the dog chewed it a bit when he was a puppy. He was never a very destructive pup, but he really picked the two things he ruined very carefully…this quilt and an $80 laptop cord. : ) I’ll post on flickr in a minute.

    I also left a comment on your flickr photos, but I’d be up for swapping. I LOVE 30’s prints and that pattern is just too cute! You can email me back (email attached to my id here) or send me a flickr mail to let me know if you still need a swap partner 🙂

    I’d love to swap. I have a number of 1930’s reproductions that I hoard. What colours are you looking for? Drop me a line if you are still looking to swap.

    I just picked up a heap of 30s squares to make something (one of these days!) but I got 5 inch squares. Shoot.

    I have some larger 30s prints you may be interested in.

    I’ll take some pictures… later or tomorrow…

    or did you find what you needed?

    great project! I would love the directions.

    Oh I would really like that pattern! Which issue of the magazine was that in?? I really like that the sashing is green and not white. I always think WHITE but I need to think outside of that box.
