::Alexander Henry Apron Making Marathon::

August 27, 2009 By Katie

I’ve always been an admirer of Alexander Henry’s prints.  I thought of them instantly when my friend Linda in Santa Fe asked for aprons for her catering company.

Some of these prints have been hanging out in my closet for quite sometime.  Waiting for the perfect coordinating fabric.

Let’s see.  We’ve got some Kleo, Apples and pears, Candyflower, Very Berry, Corazones, some cloud print I’m not sure of and Yen Rose.  I backed most of them in the versatile Diamond Eye.

I am keeping the Apples and Pears/Downtown dot for myself.

…and I have been wanting to make myself one with this print since I set my eyes on it.  I paired it with Amy Butler’s Martini Dot in Orange.  LOVE.  Now I am officially sick of making aprons.

    They look amazing – but I know how that feels – you make a bunch of something and then never want to make that item again!

    Katie, The aprons look so beautiful…I am so looking forward to finding them in my mailbox. I cannot wait to see them in person. Everyone who has seen the one you gave me as a gift, which has been at three catered affairs, LOVES them. They are so unique and FANTASTIC!!!!

    I went to the fabric store today to look for fabric for a shower curtain and to pick up the “cloud” fabric you want for JP’s apron, but was not sure about cloud fabric, so I will wait until mine arrive in order to purchase the correct fabric.

    THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

    Great fabric collection. I really like the black with flowers print. Did you note what pattern you used? These would make great gifts for Christmas.

    Love these! Do you know what the name of that last fabric is (one one you paired with the Amy Butler Martini Dot). I LOVE that fabric!
