::Up To The Last Minute::

I’m in several quilting bees, and have pressed it to the last minute on them this month.  I still have a dreaded house to do tonight.  I’m not a fan of those houses.

I loved making these and am hoping to get a Values Quilt Quilt-A-Long going by October.  The smaller blocks are so fun.  I liked the idea of making a whole quilt with a mix of blocks, each using two colors and sashed in grey or a natural.  We’ll see if it culminates.

My Sunday Stash and Sunday Swap is Robert Kaufman’s “Sugar and Spice.”  I have a FQ of each.  I would love the more purple blue colorway of this.  Am on the hunt for Alexander Henry’s and Kaffe Fassett’s lately, but I am open.

    Hi there! :- ) I just had a look at your sunday swap group and saw that you were looking for some Ava fabric in pink. Are you still wanting some? I have 2 yards of it that I bought thinking that I would make that quilt in the “Last Minute Patchwork” book, but then wasn’t too keen on the colour once it arrived. It has been sitting in my fabric cupboard for almost 2 years now and I haven’t touched it, so I don’t suppose that I ever will! Let me know if you’d like it!

    How big were your squares for these? SUPER CUTE! I love the two color combo idea!

  9. The squares are 2.5 inches. If I was to do them again I would go with one more round and do five down, five across.

    Thanks for the info! I don’t know why I didn’t consider that you could do a smaller version of this! Love finding new things to do with leftovers!
