November 3, 2009 By Katie

logo09

I’ve been wanting to change my blog name for quite some time.  My original name of Metrosupial Designs was so appropriate for making baby slings and living in the city.  Then I experienced sling burnout, and moved onto Willy-Nilly for lack of any other light bulb moments.  Willy-Nilly seemed fitting for my flitty way of moving back and forth between interests in my sewing.  Moving your whole blog to another name provides your mind with ridiculous thoughts like, will anyone move with me and why do I care?

My graphic designer/ wonderful family member George of Warp Graphics provided me with my awesome logo for Metrosupial Designs.  It’s pretty fun to work through this process and George’s first example for my new name, Sew Katie Did made me laugh, so I’m putting it out there.  Too morbid?  Just funny.  It will be interesting to see it’s evolution, and if anyone will join me at my new site.

OH, the name is cute but the dead bug with the pin through it is a bit much for me. But, you know, I didn’t ask your opinion of a logo for me so I consider that your business and not mine.

Since I decided to follow you due to the content of your blog rather than the name or the logo, I will follow you again.

Love the new name!!! We follow because we want to see all the neat things you’re making and hear about what you’re up to. Of course we’ll follow you.

I’m halfway in to getting a new blog name and logo, but my graphic designer went on strike tonight. Teenager’s – can’t trust them.

I like the new name. I have updated you on my links bar, and just linked to you within a post regarding value quilts. (I never joined your sew along thinking I would not have time and then made one anyway!)

    Good luck with the changes.

Cute logo! Of course I’ll move with you!!! You have been the encouragement to get me quilting (and running) again. I have exciting news: I just moved too! From Phoenix to Port Orchard! I almost have the apartment set up complete with a craft area! As soon as I get everything set up and unpack my quilting I’ll be stopping by Fabric Crush. Great article by NWSource.com by the way. I also got to go running outside for the first time in years they other day, it was cold and rainy but oh so wonderful!
