The Seattle Modern Quilting Guild had a brief meeting last Saturday. I don’t know how we did it, but it landed on National Quilting Day! Sixteen of us was such a great number to be able to socialize and share. We weren’t planning on a show and tell, but of course everyone wanted to see what people were working on.
We didn’t bring sewing machines this round with limited time, but kept ourselves engaged with discussion, applique, some hexagons, and binding. I was so thrilled to see some experienced and skilled hand quilters in the mix especially after this post a few weeks ago. Real live people to learn from!
That’s my quilt in the bag with the orange binding. I finished it and will post it later. I love hand stitching binding.
Some Hexaholics were also present. This is another quilting skill I’ve barely touched and hope to develop further.
We have some upcoming dates. Our NING site has all the event information and over 60 members now! Sure was fun ladies!
Awesome! (PS, whoever is in the top photo totally reminds me of Amy Karol.)
Yay! So great to see photos of your good times!
I’m so upset that I missed this one. It looks like you had fun.
One of these days I WILL make it to one of these! I don’t know how my life got so busy. Looks like lots of fun.
