I am sure many are drowning their sorrows in their Oranjeboom right now, and l joined in with a toast to the Netherland’s efforts myself. But somehow during World Cup I rediscovered a treat, ice coffee.
My addiction for these means I’ve also been trying to fit in some active time so I have less quilter butt, more soccer butt. If you are in combat with quilter butt, go for a walk and then come in and make yourself a proper cup of ice-coffee.
Consider if you are making a large amount AND adding chocolate syrup that it might be wise to invite friends over to help you consume it before you do all by yourself.
Gram’s Ice-Coffee:
Serves two
*Make one strong 16-oz cup of coffee (leftovers from morning work great).
*While coffee is still hot, stir in 4 Tbsp. Sweetened Condensed Milk, OR Chocolate Syrup.
*Fill a cup to the rim with ice and fill it half way with the coffee mix.
*Fill to the brim with cold milk.
Delish.
Don’t mind if I do!! I just walked the dogs and then made myself an iced coffee (minus the chocolate syrup! Delish!! You read my mind!! ;o)
Paulette
a new addiction for you…glad i could turn you in the right direction….i put sweetened condensed milk on my grocery list.
mmm, sounds good! another delicious treat: in south africa, instead of using ice for iced coffee, they use ICE CREAM. heaven! 🙂
I LOVE sweetened condensed milk in coffee – so yummy! And I’m seriously in World Cup withdrawals 🙁
I have never tried sweetened condensed milk in my coffee but I definitely will now!
We recently purchased a “frozen concoction machine” (aka margarita machine) and it flakes the ice to a fantastic frappuccino consistency. YUM!
Hey check my blog! I have the perfect thing for iced coffee. Although my husband would love to have that pint glass.
Have you made cold brewed coffee? http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/27/dining/276drex.html Seriously, once you make it, you’ll never want to just chill your regular coffee again. It’s a little bit of heaven. I’ll have to try it with sweetened condensed milk. Although, I have quite a bit of that quilter’s butt that I need to get rid of.
I actually have a toddy maker and should dust it off. I use to make it all the time for my fat chick mochas.
funny I should be reading about your iced coffee after having just prepared one for myself – albeit a much simpler version :: poured leftover coffee over ice cubes and some Almond milk! Delicious!
Hello. My name is Doris and I am an iced coffee addict.
Thanks for the new recipe, gotta try it tomorrow morn! I make coffee in a press (w/ Wolfgang Puck Coffee), add Splenda flavor packets and milk.
My sweetie drinks Black Plain Coffee. HOT. He thinks I am crazy.
