Way to go Team Quilter Butt! When I checked yesterday our team had logged 358.5 miles in four days! Butt improvement seems to be occurring! Jacquie and I are so impressed!
My week was like this:
Sunday: Ran
Monday: Ran
Tuesday: Swam
Wednesday: Ran
Thursday: Weight/Aerobic Workout
Friday: ?
I’m still a bit up in the air with what I want to sew. I’ve got some Improv projects already in progress. Like a few blocks for a wedding quilt. Seeing as I am going to their first anniversary party next week, I think I’m a little behind on the gift.
Many of the bits were cut a few years back when I first ventured into “improv” quilting via Denyse Schmidt’s book. I intended to make another like this ‘Bunch of Squares’ below that I made for Eli’s wedding.
I quickly realized that to improv you need not follow a pattern AND that it was actually easier to do your own thing and bring it up to size.
Looking at this picture I also am aware that you need way more quilting to make the batting last. I know the marriage is still intact at least. So much to learn.
So what are you all doing? Are you added some healthy recipes to your challenge? Maybe some new songs to the playlists? Do share!
P.S. Has anyone else been having problems leaving comments with Blogger?
I still can’t see anything related to the team on the website, just my own exercise information. Am I missing something?
As for what I’ve been doing, I managed to get in a long walk with a friend – she’s trying to get a job teaching in the elementary school here, and we walked out to the school. It took us almost half an hour to get there, and another half hour to get back. I’ve been biking everywhere otherwise, and the car still hasn’t made it here so looks like I’ll be primarily biking for a little bit longer!

Hi Katie, started Tuesday… 2 bodypump classes and 6 mi of running so far! gotta get moving!
So far: Monday walk/run 4.5 miles, Tuesday golf walking 9 holes carrying clubs 2.5 miles, and Wednesday walk/run 4.5 miles… for a grand total so far of 11.5 miles.
I was gonna walk/run today, bu-uuttt… had to go to work (on my day off!!) and by the time I got out it was tooooo hot. So will have to finish up my goal tonight or tomorrow!
Haven’t figured out how to find our team… am I supposed to register under the team also???
This was a very busy week and one of the days I felt like doing nothing but finding some carbs somewhere! LOL The big problem was that they rearranged the boxing classes and the two morning classes I usually go to are no longer at those times. AUGHHHH!
Now I have to rearrange my schedule to get to boxing and kickboxing………
glen: and Dutch the Frankendog got his stitches out so he can walk more comfortably, but then again the heat is oppressive here in Southern Louisiana.
I’ve made it 13.2 miles this week walk/run. I hope to get out at least once this weekend. I am more concerned with getting out to exercise than the improv quilt. I have a longarm quilting business that takes up most of my quilting and sewing time. Would love to do more of my own quilts, but there is only so much time. Bye-bye quilt butt!
