Who made their goal this week? Leave a comment if you did and Jacquie and I will draw the winners of the scrap bags.
We ran, swam, biked and walked a total of 1560 miles! We’re not sure of our miles…the government website has us at 436 this week. Are some of you walking backwards? We’ll see what we can do about the mileage problem. Jacquie and I needed a bit of encouragement this week, things just got busy AND hot…but tomorrow is another day.
We’ll be doing a prize monthly, so keep calculating those miles. To enter next month we are stepping up the challenge. Make your mile goal AND sew your scraps together to enter. We’d love to see your photos added to the Project Improv Flickr Group. Not only will we be able to tell you how great your quilter butt looks, but also how creative you are!
To help fuel you we thought we’d share our mutual affection for Greek Yogurt (don’t ask about egg salad).
Banana Oat Smoothie-
In a blender mix
-1 banana (frozen if you desire)
-1/2 cup non-fat milk
-1/2 cup greek yogurt
-honey to taste
-1/4 tsp cinnamon
-1/4 cup oats
-other fruit if desired
Blend and enjoy!
We’ll keep you posted and maybe even make it on Fitness Friday rather than Saturday! Way to Go you all!
p.s. sending good thoughts to our friend and team member Robin who was attacked by a dog while trail running. We’d bring you a smoothie every morning if we could! Get better fast!
I haven’t set a goal because the web site won’t let me combine all the activities. It wants me to separate the biking, walking, & running. But in my mind I’m shooting for a combined total of 20 miles – which I have been exceeding so far.
Mmmmm, smoothies!
I made my goal this week! 🙂 I admit that I haven’t started sewing any fabric together yet though!
Yep! I did it and even sewed together some of the fabric pieces!
Yes….still on goal – actually got ahead of myself. I love having miles in reserve.
argh. Missed my goal this week but exceeded it last week! oh well.
Exceeded my goal this week, so perhaps I need to revise it. Gotta make it out of Virginia some day. I also need to start pulling scraps so I can get my new quilt project underway.
made it!!
Thanks so much for the encouragement.
Thank you so much to you and Jacquie for mentioning me in your blog. I’ve received so many well wishes as a result and strangely, it has made me feel soooo much better and less lonely. I say “strangely” because I can be such an introvert, but it feels so good to be cared about by complete strangers. It makes me remember all the good that is out there, despite irresponsible dog owners who take no further interest in my welfare. So…. a big thank you!!! I couldn’t say this in an email, as our gmail account is down…. what next?!
Is it too late to join? I need some serious incentive, because the only excercise I get is running into my sewing room.
