::Stitch Magazine::

September 4, 2010 By Katie

I know, I know…not that quilt again…

Alissa (Handmade by Alissa) wrote a wonderful article for Stitch Magazine regarding the Modern Quilting Movement and they included this photo of my Stepping Stone Quilt.

There are some interviews with some modern quilters such as Denyse Schmidt, Elizabeth Hartman and Ashley Newcomb, plus information on the growing community of The Modern Quilt Guild. Don’t tell my husband, but apparently Stitch thinks my last name should be Peders.  Whoops.

I’ve learned a ton since this quilt and actually recreated it recently with results I am so thrilled with.  It’s off to the long arm.  I had something in mind I couldn’t accomplish myself.

Hope you have fun plans for the weekend.  Me?  I’m going to sew.

    Signed up for your Half Triangle class at Fabric Crush! Can’t wait!!! They didn’t have a supply list, will you email that out? (My stash isn’t that big, so I will probably have to get some new fabric–oh darn!).

    Looking forward to it!
