In Crowd by Alexander Henry. I have just a small bit of it. Potholders? Pouch?
According to some seller on Ebay I could buy a FQ for nearly $14 and $10 shipping. For that price it should be framed. Sorry, I don’t get it. Seriously? People are paying this kind of money for fabric? I’d rather see what’s coming out from Alexander Henry in the new season.
Or you could just find a yard of Heather Ross Goldfish in bags and then you could retire..ha ha!
Beware of the jackals if you sell at a reasonable price.
I certainly can spend that kind of money for fabric. In the USA, quilting fabric will reach and exceed $10/yard in the coming year, and while I know that Europeans and Australians pay much more than that, the thought of this has me digging down in my UFOs to work on for a while.
Some prices are ludicris. I found a local fabric store where nothing is over about $16/m. I’ve seen the same fabrics for up to $30/m at other quilting stores. I usually don’t pay more than $8-12/m unless it is something really special.
That would make a gorgeous bag. Or it *would* be great framed! I, too, have seen some jaw-dropping prices for fabric.
silly prices … I’ll start making my own fabric rather than pay THAT price.
I vote that they should just REPRINT when the demand is high. Why not?
Honestly, I would pay that much for it. I’m sorry I didn’t buy it when it first came out. I WOULD frame it…I like it that much!
Up here in Soviet Canuckistan, the general rule is about $14/m for solids, $18-24 for prints at the good places where I know the fabric is quality. Anything “exotic” is more than that. I can’t afford to sew as much as I’d like but I don’t end up with a lot of fabric that I only “kinda” love. I’ve got a membership to the cheaper fabric store but the service is non-existent and you can’t always vouch for the fabric’s quality. The deals just aren’t that great so I stalk my local QS and watch for sales on things. Or I hit the net but I don’t like not being able to see scale and colour as accurately… It’s a Catch-22(by18″). 🙂
off topic – I really enjoyed the quilters guild! I am itching to get back together next month.
I really think it’s asking to be a cosmetic pouch – or you could sell it to Lauren (who commented above)! 🙂
Good lord! I don’t even like it. I love that its $10 to ship it, wonder if its hand delivered.
Pouch. And then flaunt it ’cause you’re one of the cool kids.
