::Seattle Modern Quilting Guild/September Meeting::

What an awesome space Sue secured for us at her church!  Skylights and a huge room for laying out quilts.  Bonus of a balcony to take photos from.  Check them out!

This is my friend Noelle’s quilt, King size!  It’s her first quilt and she started it in my Value class where we meet.  Just like Noelle, it’s stellar in person, I wish the photo did it more justice.

She’s become the half square triangle queen and has been working on this HST quilt too.  We dug through my stash for some additional yellows to add to this.  Limited on time and yellow we had a lightbulb moment and came up with the idea of a single zig zag.  It’s wonderful and backed in flannel, my favorite!

Season’s Denyse Schmidt quilt was nearly complete with the exception of some ties.  I loved the colors.

The newest member enjoyed her Wonky Stars quilt we all made.

I must have been yacking…thought I got photos of two new members quilts and our friend Amber’s Autumn String Quilt.  I’ll miss out on October’s meeting and am a bit bummed.

    I think if the photo did it MORE justice, I’d burst! I’m in love!

    What a great quilt!!

    I hope to be able to make it to one of the meetings again soon…they have just been on the wrong Saturdays for me lately. It looks like fun!

    1. Hope you can make it soon!

    The quilt has been on the back burner for a couple of months – it was wonderful to pull it out and have a space to look at it again. I’m reinvigorated to finish the back – its a pieced wonky log cabin. AND…the hardest decision of all still needs to be made…what will the binding be? It can be anything. I measured and figured out I need 450+” of binding.

    Thank you for your sweet comments.

    1. After our binding discussion I settled with the sludge paperweight for my current quilt! Thanks for the inspirational talk.
