It was on impulse that my friend Noelle and I hopped the ferry to Vashon Island Friday morning. A student the night before in my String Block class had an incredible collection of fabrics that she said she had purchased at Island Quilter. I was particularly after the brown wood grain which I’d considered gone from my life and she said the shop was filled with OOPs.
This shop was just filled with wall to wall fabric, books and patterns, none of the usual fabric store clutter. I haven’t seen a fabric shop with this type of “wow” since I visited Sarah’s in Lawrence. Well worth the trip. This pile is a very restrained, edited purchase!
Lets go again next week, ha, ha. Now I want some of the orange wood grain amongst others 🙂
I’ll throw up a picture of my stash purchases on bellaandjake.wordpress later today.
Amazing self control.
Sounds like a fun outing!
Woo woo! So glad you made it! Awesome, wasn’t it?!!
