::Quilting Inspiration::

A little dose of quilting inspiration for your day, one click away.

I’ve just learned of this site when they featured my HST Love quilt yesterday.

Big thanks!

This class is coming up!  Learn half-square-triangles and how value affects design.

    Its stunning, did you match up the triangles randomly??? I love that there’s no pattern, per say to the color!

    Congrats! Its a beauty!

    1. Just pick five colors and randomly make half square triangles out of them. I didn’t plan where they went, just stuck them up on the design wall and went with it. Good luck!

      1. What is the name of the colors you used Katie? I didn’t see them in the quilting loft!

    Every time that I see this, I am truly amazed and wished I lived closer to take your class. I love the look of the solids and how it my eyes are drawn to the different angles and shapes that you have made. I would buy this as a pattern if you made one available!!! I thought I could do this on my own but I know I wouldn’t be able to do the same justice!!

  3. This quilt is gorgeous. Solids–wonderful!

    Congratulations – what a truly beautiful quilt!

  5. Juliana says:

    What color of thread did you use when you quilted this? What does the back look like?

    1. sewkatiedid says:

      Hi Juianna, The back is just one print fabric. I think it was from the Uptown line. The thread was white.
