::School’s Out::

June 5, 2011 By Katie

Busy time of the year here.  I pulled some fabrics today that remind me of learning and school.

Time to think of teacher gifts, and not to forget the office staff and principle.

A few gifts already made.

Brainstorming on other gifts to craft.

Maybe a  kidlet?  Wouldn’t that be cute with a child’s drawing on fabric for the pocket?

An apron or good ole potholders?

Last year I made pillows for the couch in the read/play area.

There’s fabric covered magazine bins and fabric baskets all with cute school themed fabric.

What do you make for gifts?

———————————–

I popped some school themed fabrics in the shop if you are thinking about gifts too.

    Hi,
    I love the fabric with the women in bathing suits. Would you mind sharing who makes it?

      That’s an Alexander Henry. Not sure of the name but I’ve seen it on etsy and ebay. I bought it at pacific fabrics here in seattle.

    I just finished a log cabin pillow for my sons 3rd grade room and gave a few other teachers oilcloth totes. I love the AH states fabric!

    Whatever you make the teacher will love it. I taught for 35 years and always loved those gifts that showed so much thought and caring. A homemade gift says it all

      Always nice to get something that takes some thought.

    What wonderful teacher gift ideas! I would have loved such a thoughtful and fun gift when I was teaching! I’m going to write about this on my blog. 🙂
