::Oh Get On With It::

Do you ever just over think a quilt’s quilting?  And finally just jump in?

I get sick of them all basted and taking up my limited design wall space (and I need those basting pins to move on).

I finally just decided to go for the effervescent design that I was procrastinating on.

I almost ripped it out at the start, wavering on whether I liked it or not.

Now that the quilting is nearly complete I’m glad I persevered.  I love it so.

    Love the quilted bubbles! Did you do it all free motion? How did you manage all those small circles? I am in awe!

    Great quilting! How long did it take you to do?

    1. not finished yet, but it goes very quick once you get in the groove. Maybe 5 minutes a line?

  13. Yes, I do get stuck. Which would be why I was unbasting a quilt last night for the pins to baste another quilt! Of course I don’t know what to do with the second quilt either!

    I’m glad you ended up loving it, I think it’s great! And I think I might even be able to do that — the bubble thing…

    1. It’s easier than you think and all those different length stitches will surely come clean once it’s washed and dried.

  18. It looks wonderful! I’ve only ever done that type of quilting on a pillow. I’m trying to imagine doing it on an entire quilt. Wow.

    does it help to think of it as Pondering instead of Procrastination?
    Ponder away — it seems to be a method that works wonders for you! Thank you for your candid nature.
