::Steady Work On the Design Wall::

August 9, 2011 By Katie

It’s coming along.  All triangles have background fabric and the right panel is sewn together.

I’m thinking of pulling some stitches and rearranging the left panel a bit.  Then likely I’ll put it aside to figure out if I want just this line of triangles or additions to the design.

I’m not holding my breath that the bases of the triangles will line up once I sew the panels together, but a girl can dream.

Of course I didn’t have the perfect backing in my stash and found this on sale.

I’m still not sure about the little rodents printed on there, but I liked the colors and the scale.

Happy Tuesday!

I love the tiny Parisville rats. They keep the fabric from being too sweet and predictable. Great color match for your quilt top, which I love, by the way.

    Love this quilt!

I’ll be interested to see what happens with the lining up of the base of the triangles. . .

Great quilt!! Love the design and I totally agree about the rats- they are a great sort of funky little surprise in such a pretty little print!!

I bought this same fabric in the pomegranate colourway in a sale. I have no idea what to do with it. I just thought it was gorgeous. Your quilt is looking beautiful. It reminds me of purple mountains and pine trees reflected in a lake.

    Those rodents are hysterical!
I love the triangles. I can see those floating down a bed top. You know, if you have a spare twin bed around.

This is just an amazing design. And the backing is pretty funny.

I am so glad to hear a rich and famous quilted like you worry about the same things little people like me worry about. Will my fabric vision actually work and hopefully line up even!

    It is fabulous, good luck!
