Favorite fabrics, how I love you so. All scrappy-happy together!
You are now a mamajama king size quilt top. Half way through I almost settled on twin, but you were already cut up into all those squares and I wanted you for those nights when the duvet was just too warm (which was a whole 5 nights this summer, but crossing fingers for next year).
I thought my husband would give me crap for taking over another wall in the livudio while designing it, but he said it looked better than all the paint swatches we have up with still no decided color in site.
I’m thinking the yellow diamonds from Folksy Flannel for the back and might put some phrase on it like I did for my Mother’s birthday Quilt.
A few of Roan’s phrases have stuck in my head as options.
BIG boxy squares or something sunshine and swirling for the quilting?

Wow, I need to snuggle that blanket 🙂
Wow, that is alot of piecing! Good you stuck with it – it’s fantastic in BIG!
I know a good place to quilt it as long as one side is less than 102″. Just sayin ~
I love this quilt! If only I could sneak over there and steal it… 😀
Beautiful quilt, closet full of fabric.. gosh this is a great post!
Beautiful scrap quilt! who cares about paint samples when you have this around? I would rather have your weather than ours here in central California…
It’s a beauty! Love the playfulness of it.
Completely in love with this!
I absolutely love this quilt!
I wanna come hang out with you and the aforementioned opportunity to quilt it if one side is shorter than 102″.
It is lovely!
I love it! I am just starting my first queen quilt and one of these days I’ll make a cal king for our bed. A queen seems huge I can’t imagine a king.
Go for sunshine quilting – it looks amazing…makes me want to start another project!
Oh that is beautiful! I think the yellow diamonds would set it off perfectly
I just love it. Seriously happy.
Your quilt turned out beautiful! Love it! I was looking for the post where you showed how you put the blocks together but can’t seem to find it. I was hoping to use some of my stash, trying not to buy more material til I do!
Have I mentioned before how in love with your periwinkle walls I am?
They could be yours. Pure Periwinkle, think I got it at Lowes, but might have been Home Depot.
I adore this quilt it is lovely with all the different prints but not clashing!! I love scrapy quilts and this reminds me of that but they flow so well i am sure you planned all the prints together 😉
Love this scrappy quilt – beautiful fresh colors and patterns! I am making my first ever quilt and after weeks of picking over fabrics, I am starting to make my squares tonight. I’m following your instructions for a value quilt! 🙂 Thank you!
Lovely quilt and I am so jealous of your fabric stash. Dang, I’m going to be dreaming about it.
Hang on a second. Do my eyes deceive me in the first photo, or is your bedroom closet full of fabric?? LOVE IT! There’s plenty of room under the bed for clothes, right?
Hey, what’s up in Vancouver this weekend….I remember you saying you were coming for ‘the last game’. Is that Canadians baseball? Whitecaps Soccer? I’ve got a retreat this weekend otherwise I’d love to meet up, boo! Hope you can make it to Spool of Thread at Fraser & Kingsway, or Maiwa on Granville Island. Have a great time!! It’s definitely cooling down up here.
coming for the whitecaps game/anniversary. yes, closet full of fabric….the whole closet.
perhaps in the spring jacquie and i will come and do a workshop when the book is out.
xo
Beautiful Katie – it’s totally perfect!
I also like your much better use of the closet than crappy clothes idea 😉
Oh – and if your winter is anything like ours was last year, you’ll need that quilt on top of the duvet to keep warm. I’ve given up on summer being anything other than fall-ish 😉
It’s the same here. Although we’ve had 2 days of almost 80 for some reason. xo
Just divine! Absolutely love it as a whole in all its scrappy glory, but then I also love seeing the individual prints too – i could spend hours looking at it!
Just love it! You have a great way of playfully mixing A LOT of prints and colors, and make them all come together beautifully. Look forward to the next step…
; )
That is a most luscious and smile popping color extravaganza of a quilt!!, i love it…and the blue of the wall…..welli am a blue girl through and through….divine
katie I am crushing your scrappy sunshine quilt. Would you please refresh my memory of the square sizes? I think is some post that I cannot find for the life of me you said you used 3.5, 6.5, and 9.5?
