::Charmed Quilting Starts::

November 10, 2011 By Katie

A day off with nothing to do but quilt (not until kid duty at 3pm at least).

D-R-E-A-M-Y.

For some reason, I quilt faster in my head than in real life, but I’m not complaining and certainly admiring the five columns I was able to finish today.

Hell, I’m a 1/3rd of the way there.

If I’m ambitious then I should be done around Sunday, in between those sessions called work.

Whoops, unless I keep skipping peels in my orange peel quilting.

I’m still working on my corner to corner rhythm, I seem to make it to the middle and stop.  I’m sure I’ll have it down by that 15th row.

Happy Wednesday.

The quilting is awesome…. I must try that pattern soon.

You planted a big smile on my face with the comment about work. Thats excately how I feel this morning going to work. All I really want to do today involves a cup of tea, a couch, and some hand quilting.

Oh, this is simply marvelous! I love this quilting pattern. I have three hours sans kids this morning and I’m itching to quilt, but there’s all this laundry, the piles of dishes…

Your quilting looks great! I had to smile when I saw the missing petal in the first picture. You should leave it that way. Every time you see that gap you can smile 🙂

Love that quilting effect. Darn work thing does keep insisting on getting in the way of play though, still, it keeps us in fat quarters…

I looove this quilting pattern. I generally do straight line quilting – but I’d like to try something like this at some point. So pretty 🙂

Your stitching really does look nice. It takes a little bit to get a rhythm going. Good job!

Sometimes it seems we’ve been quilting for hours, and we take the quilt off the machine to admire how much we have done. And poof…..de-flation. There is still so much more to quilt! It is really a fun whimsical quilt.

Kid-free gives me a chance to recharge, I share the sentiment of dreamy.

I’m loving the quilting you’re doing on the charm quilt, although whenever I’m actually quilting something myself on the machine I always wonder if I’m doing it right. I still think I need a real lesson from you.

This looks great. I’m a sucker for patchwork and then the unique quilting really accents the squaredness (nice new word, huh?) of the fabric pieces.
