::Book Signing and Trunk Show::

April 26, 2012 By Katie

Please join me this Saturday, April 28th from 11-2pm at the Quilting Loft in Ballard for a book signing and trunk show.  I’ll be demonstrating the ‘stitch and flip triangle’ technique around noon and 1pm.

The Quilting Loft will be offering a little ‘special something’ to each person that buys the book.  Preorder via the Quilting Loft and receive 20% off the book.

Hope to see you there, but if you can’t come Saturday, the reception for my quilt exhibit opening at Island Quilter on Vashon Island is next Friday, May 4th from 6-9pm.

Hope to see your smiling faces at one or the other!

———————-

p.s. some giveaways of the book are available at the end of this post.

    Congrats, Katie – we need another improv book out there, and yours is sure to do very well. My book, Create Your Own Free-Form Quilts (C&T) came out in November and people love it – so I am sure they will love yours, too. Looking forward to seeing it. I’ve just started a MQG in Northern NJ and would be happy to review your copy on the new MQG site.

      Thanks Rayna! I think Interweave is planning on sending all the guilds a copy of the book to start a lending library. Best of luck on your book too!

Well I thought Amazon Surf was a stupid paint name Well I thought Amazon Surf was a stupid paint name and it turns out it’s because it’s not its name. We’re sleeping in the Aussie Surf;) you can see it is Boss approved. I love it with the other colors and I didn’t go purple, but that hallway sure would look good with some light apricot:) #benjaminmoore #aussiesurf
Happy ❤️ day peeps! Boss and I took a long qui Happy ❤️ day peeps! Boss and I took a long quiet walk early this morning in Fauntleroy Park, followed by Nutella banana bread and naps. Then we put the bedroom back together and I’m loving the new color with the colors in the hall and bath. The snow has been such a delightful balance of inside and outside time all weekend. More walking to enjoy the snow before the rain starts.
Snow day loveliness with a second coat of Amazon S Snow day loveliness with a second coat of Amazon Surf in the bedroom (and Boss’s nose), which is thankfully love at first sight. Multiple Boss walks and naps, and a lovely brunch. I’d love to move away from using plastic wrap on pudding to avoid the skin and went with TJ’s waxed cloth after it had cooled a bit but it left a bad flavor on the top. Any suggestions?

Plus we get to say lines from My Big Fat Greek Wedding every time we slice into one. This bundt is plain ole pound cake from Casella’s A World of Baking, my fav with a cuppa coffee. #bundtcake #nordicware #valentinesbaking
