::Island Quilter Exhibit Reception::

May 3, 2012 By Katie

Please join me tomorrow, Friday, May 4th from 6-9pm for a reception to celebrate the opening of my exhibit at Island Quilter on Vashon Island.

AND do some fabric shopping while you are there!

This shop is amazing and full of color.

Yesterday I loaded up the car and jumped the ferry.

I tried to talk people into playing hooky with me, but no go.

Anja and I started by laying the quilts out.

Then we grouped them so they had some flow for hanging.

 Made me wish I had sleeves for them all.

Anja joked about painting all the clips to match the quilts.

I had to leave before they were all up, but I’ll have pictures for sure tomorrow!

Hope you come!

        Well, your car WAS empty for the return trip ~ so think of it as being environmentally responsible.

    Have you blogged about the pink and yellow quilt? I don’t remember seeing it before… It is so lovely and makes me think of butterflies. Seems like you found the perfect spot for it in the shop!

        Oops – I meant the one hanging in front of the window in the 5th picture on this post. Maybe I should be more specific with my color descriptions… magenta/fuchsia and yellow with hints of plum?

    Please post lots of Photo’s! These are really wonderful to see hanging. I sometimes think it is a shame to use my quilt as I don’t get the full effect. Good luck with the exhibition….wish I could come and see in person.
