So the time has come, the party’s over.
I like to relish the moments shared at a party as I pick up those last scattered wine glasses and beer bottles the next morning. Thankful for those individuals that make your life so wonderful and take you to places you never imagined.
Jacquie, you make the whole process fun! Interweave, thanks for publishing our dream book. I’m still drooling over the diagrams and photos. Be sure to visit their blog posts on Quilting Daily and Sew Daily. Angela, I remember that warm day clearly too and your excitement was contagious. Thank you!
BIG thanks to our other blog hosts. Move on over here to check out their parties.
Wanna find out if you walked out with a party favor?
I’ve been thinking about the quilt Supernova, created with the stitch and flip triangle.
I just love this design and have been playing with it on a small block size instead of super-sized.
I think just one smaller block in a sea of background fabric would be a great baby quilt.
But I’m going to make some more, just to see what happens. Mixing the values around in each block.
I was thinking it would be fun if someone wanted to play along.
So I put together a little package for you.
Congrats Alice who said,
“My favorite is Ashley Newcomb’s interpretation of the Swirling Medallion quilt! Thanks for the chance to win!”
Now if I could only see Jacquie for that glass of champagne I owe her.
Today I got your wonderful book – you made my day. Thanks for it!
Very nice, love the patterns and the colors
thanks for supporting us!
Love this quilt and the mermaids! This would be very fun for a baby quilt or child quilt. The colors are just so cheerful!
Your work is beautiful and I have long been a fan of quilting but am not sure that I have the patience or precision required! Your work just might inspire me to give it a try.
You can do it. just focus on the fun.
The magenta and yellow are brilliant together!
Sorry I am new to your blog, but I love your designs! I am wondering what fabric this is? I love the mermaid and octopus!
Thank you for sharing your talent and skill.
The fabric is Mendocino by Heather Ross. You might find a bit at a decent price, but it is out of print.
What kind of linen was used for the background in the original? Is it easy to blend the different types of fabric weights? Thanks.
I don’t remember what it is called and it is no longer made. Essex linen would work fine though. No problems with the blending of fabrics. I do it all the time!
