::Improv Coin Quilt Workshop::

January 6, 2013 By Katie

I’m gearing up for a Improv Coin Quilt weekend workshop on Vashon Island at Island Quilter.  I’m sure I’ll have some fun photos to share next week from this awesome studio space!

We’ll spend Saturday and Sunday making Improvisational Coin Quilts.  This quilt is a favorite to teach with its strip and angle piecing.

Students always walk away with quilts that are so unique, and new finishing skills like panelling or combine blocks of various sizes into a finished quilt top tucked into their hats.

Island Quilter extended their 30% off sale through January 8th!

This is even better news if you received one of their Winter Savings Passes, because you can combine these two for even more of a discount.  Discount is in-store only.  With their already fabulous prices, this is a hell of a deal.

So, on that note, I couldn’t help myself and purchased this Alexander Henry fabric with the discount that I’ve been thirsting for.  I think this time around I’ll go baby girl with my coin quilt.

Always in procrastination mode, I started playing with some charm squares for my Modern Charm class on Tuesday too.

Hope you are having an awesome weekend.  I kinda want to stay home and pile more fabric combinations and sew, but we’re off to do the second best, watch Seahawks and drink beer!

GO SEAHAWKS!
