For sure! Nothing is perfect! I’m getting ready to start machine quilting with a machine so old I’m not sure I can find a walking foot for it. Its a 70+ year old Singer currently awaiting a couple parts. But after hand quilting for over 40 years, I’m ready to pin baste the heck out of my next quilt, use a thin cotton batting as usual, and go slowly. In wavery straightish unmarked improvisational lines. Thanks for the many months of inspiration.
Also, one of my favorite things you’ve done is the ‘Stepping Stones’ quilt. Two reasons: one, it’s so wanky & cockeyed, yet ends up squared & true. My very favorite part of it is that little stray block off to the right for no reason at all. Kind of gives some visual relief from the continuity of the rest of the quilt.

Oh I like! Love how creative you are with your free motion quilting! I got a bit creative the other day on a practice piece, but then decided it was too much work for the actual quilt (so I just resorted to my usual stippling :)…
