::Block Up-cycle::

November 19, 2013 By Katie

During one of my clear outs (this is an ongoing project for sure) I found some quilt blocks I first made but never used in the back of this quilt.  The blocks got quilted and almost repurposed into pillow tops for Roan’s room.  I then scratched the project and shoved them away again.

They have finally resurfaced AND repurposed!

sewkatiedid/giftingThird time’s the charm, and to think I almost just threw them out.

sewkatiedid/nesting basketsI got the idea when I started playing with the samples for my free-motion quilting nested basket class coming up.

sewkatiedid/fabric bucketsI figure it’s time to start thinking about gifts.  That’s 6 down and a little more space for those other unfinished projects that need some time to percolate.  I’m thinking they are a perfect gift for teachers.

    This is so funny: I feel the same way, so psyched to have all these buckets around! Yours look great, hope your class is fun!
