I was feeling overtaken by scraps and actually made it through a few episodes of the Walking Dead before some order was restored.
And then I felt the need to bust out some quality Quilt As You Go time with this stellar Alexander Henry Santa scrap I found. Color way, prints and log cabin design completely inspired by this rockin’ design.
Welcome gift number one, you sure are cute.
This color way has set off a list of made goods including samples for my oven mitt class and some stitch and flip triangle pillow shams.
Jefe will be so excited we’ll have Christmas themed pillow shams for our bed I’m sure:) He’s probably wondering why we don’t already.
Happy Tuesday all!

I love the Christmas print!
These are so cute Katie (LOVE that AH print)! I have been loving the act of slowly emptying my scrap bins for various projects, hot pads are a great way to do that. I am hoping to finally get to some scrappy Christmas stockings for the girls this year!!
let me know if you find a good ‘stocking pattern shape.’ All the ones I’ve found are odd.

This is so pretttty!!! 😀 I wish I was this creative in sewing!!
I love that Santa scrap!
Love the Santa potholder! Happy Thanksgiving dear Katie
Love santa – he is so cute! Goof for you for working on xmas presents!
Gorgeous oven mitts. Shame I have brand new ones and no excuse to make more… And too many other projects on the go to stop and make some lovely scrap items….
Oh, that Santa project is so darling I can’t stand it.
What a great use of scraps. Those mitts are great!
I’m Jewish, and I love your Santa project! Oh, my kingdom for a good Hannukah Harry print! 🙂
I seriously need to clean up my scraps too. Love your potholder! The quilting is great. Makes me want to do some QAYG.
Love both of these projects! It’s great to make use of supplies we already have 🙂
Awesome designs and color combos! Beautiful work. I actually just made my first set of VERY simple quilted coasters. I am definitely going to check out the pattern you used here!
Quick question– since a pattern wasn’t linked, but rather your inspiration photo, on examination of your potholder, I am wondering if you used the straight line stitching and quilt as you go method… I am new to quilting, but not to sewing. I just love how your potholder looks and wonder if I took the quilt as you go class next month, would that provide me with the technique so I could apply to the potholder/coaster design? I live in West Seattle and am considering a couple of your classes!! Thanks for your time and inspiration! Kate
Let me know if you didn’t get my email. Hope to see you in a class!
I love that retro Xmas fabric, too. You’ve made good use of it!
