I shared last post that I might not decorate for Halloween. We have too many house projects and still no real kitchen, but the open shelving seriously needed a good cleaning, so take one thing down and put another up.
I like to share some new and old photos every year.
I also snapped a few more photos of my new samples I wanted to share for the studio’s November straight line quilting workshop.
I seriously love this fabric.
My favorite make year after year is my paper pieced hanging treat bag. Some of the middle school kids and I had been making hanging locker bags and I thought to merge it with this paper pieced Skull pattern from Twiddletails. I need to get a new photo of it on my new front door.
I’ve got it all printed super sized for a pillow that some year will become a reality.
Earlier this year I finished up my spiderweb quilt. I love it and if I had all the time in the world there would be more of this type of quilt in my collection. With Boss around this dark color way might become a staple.
Never enough pillows right? I shared some new ones last post, but here’s some favorites that still make it out.
There wasn’t a whole lot of baking this year since thankfully the studio has been busy and we decided to take a holiday last week, but here’s a few from Halloween’s past.
Last year was all about pie, but when I’ve got a larger real oven there will be some Halloween Nordic Ware pans that I’ll be busting out for cake.
The brain was happy enough with almond kiss cookies.
This was the best I could do for a realistic food photo this round. Lots of simple food happening here and kitchen sink soup.
Seattle had a pretty dry fall (until the past week which made up for it all) so we were really able to enjoy the leaves. Our yard is still all chicken wired for Boss protection and needing a good clear out, but the leaves are a good distraction.
As is football.
After a whole summer of a burn ban it sure feels good to sit next to one.
Boss is still getting by on his good looks.
We haven’t seen much of the pugs, but get daily photos.
And since we don’t have enough projects already we are now the proud owners of a dry sauna, or at least the parts of one. Just need to figure out the best spot in the basement and hopefully start adding years to our lives.
