Modern Quilting Workshop Gift Certificate
Once the purchase processes you should be able to download a pdf of the certificate to fill out and gift. There is no expiration and no certificate number needed. Holder of gift certificate can contact the studio at any time, pick the workshop of their choice and schedule a date.
Cancellation policy applies for gift certificate holders that have scheduled their workshop.
Strip Tease | Modern Improv Strip Piecing | February Workshop
Refine your improvisational quilting skills in this modern quilt block workshop. By merging one construction method with multiple string piecing techniques we’ll simultaneously create large string blocks and mitered log cabin blocks that appear both chaotic and controlled. Design one quilt or two with your blocks.
We’ll touch on fabric options, placement and the unlimited design potential to make a finished original quilt. Katie will have multiple inspiring examples of how you and these quilt blocks can play together.
All level of sewists welcome. This is a block construction workshop. Follow up with an open studio or another quilt finishing class for quilt finishing.

Beginning Modern Quilting 101 | Improvisational Triangles | February & March Workshop
This is the studio's 'start with the basics' quilting workshop with a funky modern edge thrown in. Learn beginner quilting techniques like cutting, pressing and precise piecing while adding whimsical improvisational triangles that create endless designs.
You can easily design your own quilt top with your blocks or use the layouts we play with in class.
Supply lists will be emailed after sign up. Follow up with a Straight Line Quilting Workshop or Open Studio to learn all the quilt finishing techniques and turn your quilt top into a well loved heirloom.

Beginning Sewing 101 | Reversible Bag | February & March Workshop
This reversible bag pattern is the perfect project for learning basic sewing skills while getting cozy with a sewing machine. We’ll cover and refine, cut, pin, sew, snip, press, and repeat so that you can walk away with a finished bag that suites your style.

Quilt As You Go Bins- Learn to Sew | Anytime Beginner Workshop

Quilt As You Go is a fun technique to get comfy with a machine. Learn the basics of cut, sew, and press while creating a useful bin. Use the studio's scraps or your own stash to make one or two. Take this skill home and apply it to making pouches, potholders, drawstring bags, pillows and other quilted gifts.
