Kids Stitched Open Studios is full of inspiring sewing and quilting projects sure to unleash creative potential and develop curious minds.
My studio is stocked with all the tools and machines needed, plus loads of scrap material.
We’ll build self confidence, support creative problem solving and bring math concepts to life through active and fun project based learning while encouraging students to follow THEIR creative muse. Project direction, multiple approaches, inspiration included.
Kids Stitched Open Studios are a great opportunity to discover various techniques for sewing, quilting, crafting, and art at a student’s individual speed through bags, zip pouches, pillows, doll quilts, pet bow ties, a variety of containers, or whatever they can dream up. Our open studios are limited to 3 to 4 children, so that each child gets the individual instruction as needed. Homeschooler days available for groups of 3 to 4. Please contact the studio to schedule.
We’ll get those fun ideas stuck in their heads out and make them into loved objects!
- 9 year olds and up welcome/ 6-8 year old days available
- No sewing machine experience required.
- Feel free to bring a snack and a drink bottle with lid.
Be sure to read our cancellation policy prior to scheduling. If this is your child’s first session in the studio we will play with scraps to get a feel for the machines. After this first session projects will be created and materials invoiced. Please let me know if you have questions about this prior to a session. Students are always welcome to bring their own materials. There are NO refunds for single full day, 4 day or week long camps. Kids camps will be mostly sewing, but we’ll do a mix of activities to get up and moving as well.
Cancellation Policy
Only a full payment secures your space in a class and/or open studio. Payments are non-refundable. Please note: Students who cancel 72 hours or more prior to a class may transfer 100% of payment funds ONCE to the next available session or to another class/open studio. We will make every effort to accommodate a reschedule of this nature.
No refund or exchange will be given for late cancellations (71 hours or less) or no shows. Sorry, we are not able to make exceptions. This ensures that other students on a waiting list for spots in full classes have not missed an opportunity.
There are NO refunds for FULL day/4 day or week long camps or days specifically scheduled for you.
