This is the studio’s ‘start with the basics’ quilting workshop with a funky modern edge thrown in. Â Learn beginner quilting techniques like cutting, pressing and precise piecing while adding whimsical improvisational triangles that create endless designs.
You can easily design your own quilt top with your blocks or use the layouts we play with in class.
Supply lists will be emailed after sign up. Follow up with a Straight Line Quilting Workshop or Open Studio to learn all the quilt finishing techniques and turn your quilt top into a well loved heirloom.
Only a full payment secures your space in a class and/or open studio. Payments are non-refundable. Please note: Students who cancel 72 hours or more prior to a class may transfer 100% of payment funds to the next available session or to another class/open studio ONCE. We will make every effort to accommodate a reschedule of this nature.
No refund or exchange will be given for late cancellations (71 hours or less) or no shows. Sorry, we are not able to make exceptions. This ensures that other students on a waiting list for spots in full classes have not missed an opportunity.
If a date was scheduled specifically for you there are no cancellations or transfers.

Perfecting Quilt Bindings Workshop
Ready to bind a quilt, but feeling a little intimidated? Â Or maybe you're wanting to add some piecing, faux binding or flange and need some hand holding?
I've got all sorts of tips and tricks to make it an easy and enjoyable step in your quilt making process. Â We'll cover creating our binding strips using a technique that eliminates drawing lines or pinning. Â We'll machine sew it on, again without pinning while creating corners to be proud of. Â We'll perfect an invisible or chunky stitch to finish sewing the binding down to your quilt's back. Â You'll have an enjoyable excuse to sit on the couch and binge watch favorite tv shows.
**Binding on the bias will not be covered in this workshop.  Please contact the studio to schedule if wanting to learn this binding technique**
