Refine some of your sewing skills, like installing a zipper and boxing corners while creating a professional looking lined pouch. Â Pick two of your favorite fabrics or come with (2) quilted panels for a more personal touch.
All levels of sewists welcome. Â Supply list to be emailed after sign up. Â A great workshop for making use of those orphaned quilt blocks and/or projects.
Description
Only a full payment secures your space in a class and/or open studio. Payments are non-refundable. Please note: Students who cancel 72 hours or more prior to a class may transfer 100% of payment funds to the next available session or to another class/open studio. We will make every effort to accommodate a reschedule of this nature.
No refund or exchange will be given for late cancellations (71 hours or less) or no shows. Sorry, we are not able to make exceptions. This ensures that other students on a waiting list for spots in full classes have not missed an opportunity.

Quilt As You Go Bins- Learn to Sew | Beginner Workshop

Quilt As You Go is a fun technique to get comfy with a machine. Â Learn the basics of cut, sew, and press while creating a useful bin. Â Use the studio's scraps or your own stash to make one or two. Â Take this skill home and apply it to making pouches, potholders, drawstring bags, pillows and other quilted gifts.
A basic supply list will be emailed or purchase a studio kit $10.
Free Motion Quilting Fundamentals/Nesting Baskets
This will be the perfect opportunity to learn and/or refine free-motion quilting skills and create some useful containers. Practice multiple free-motion quilting designs like meanders, geometric, edge-to-edge, echoing and curves risk free on Bernina machines and then construct a stacking set of containers in this all-day workshop. Pick your favorite prints to make them unique to you.
Experience Level: All levels welcome, however some machine experience is encouraged.
Oven Mitts & Napkins | Anytime Workshop

It's gift making season! Â This workshop combines basic sewing techniques with a little straight line quilting. Â We'll create two quilted oven mitts & a set of double sided napkins.

Crushed It Quilt Blocks | Modern Improv Crazy Piecing | Anytime Workshop
Let's take a modern approach to crazy piecing.  This workshop will focus on a method for creating blocks with linear and geometric shapes to fit into endless quilt designs and projects.  Katie will share examples that are sure to inspire you to create something beautiful with your dozen (or so) finished blocks you’ll construct in class.

Kids Stitched sewing classes are full of inspiring sewing and quilting projects sure to unleash creative potential and develop curious minds. Â
My studio is stocked with all the tools and machines needed, plus loads of scrap material.
We'll build self confidence, support creative problem solving and bring math concepts to life through active and fun project based learning while encouraging students to follow THEIR creative muse. Â Project direction, multiple approaches, inspiration included. Â
Kids Stitched Open Studios are a great opportunity to discover various techniques for sewing, quilting, crafting, and art at a student’s individual speed through bags, zip pouches, pillows, doll quilts, pet bow ties, a variety of containers, or whatever they can dream up.  Our open studios are limited to 3 to 4 children, so that each child gets the individual instruction as needed.  Homeschooler days available for groups of 3 to 4.  Please contact the studio to schedule sewing classes.
We'll get those fun ideas stuck in their heads out and make them into loved objects!
- 8 year olds and up welcome
- No sewing machine experience required.
